Terms of Service

Last updated: July 13, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and College Resume ("College Resume," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of college-resume.com, our test-prep programs, the résumé builder, the Auto Apply browser extension, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility and student accounts

You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use and any charges. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

2. The Service

College Resume provides study tools, adaptive test-prep programs, coaching-style guidance, résumé tools, and scholarship and application features. The Service is an educational product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by ACT, Inc., the College Board, ATI, Elsevier, the State of Florida, or any testing organization or university, and any such names are used only to identify the exams we help you prepare for.

3. Free trial, billing, and cancellation

Free trial. We may offer a free trial (for example, a 3-day free trial). To start a trial we ask you to provide a payment method so we can verify you and give you immediate access. You are not charged during the free trial.

Subscription and renewal. Unless you cancel before your free trial ends, your subscription will begin automatically and your payment method will be charged the then-current price (for example, $14.99 per week for the ACT program) on a recurring basis until you cancel. Prices are shown at checkout and may change with notice for future billing periods.

Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from your account, in one click, or by emailing support@college-resume.com. When you cancel, your subscription will not renew, and you will keep access until the end of the trial or the period you have already paid for. Except where required by law or under the guarantee in Section 4, payments already made are non-refundable, and we do not provide partial-period refunds.

Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe, and by subscribing you also agree to Stripe's terms. You authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method for all fees you incur.

4. Score-increase guarantee

Certain programs include a money-back guarantee. Because the guarantee depends on your completing the program, it applies only if all of the following are true: (a) our score predictor shows you are on track for a higher score; (b) you have completed 100% of your skill puzzle; (c) you have taken all of the assigned practice tests; (d) you have gone through the Desmos tutorials in full and passed the Desmos test; and (e) you have otherwise completed the program as directed. If you have met every one of these conditions and still do not achieve the stated score increase for your program (for the ACT program, an increase of at least 4 points), we will refund every dollar you paid for that program, no questions asked. The specific score target and any additional requirements for each program are described on that program's page. The guarantee covers the fees you paid to us and does not cover official test-registration fees or other third-party costs. To request a refund under the guarantee, contact support@college-resume.com so we can review your completion record.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: share, resell, or provide access to your account or our content to others; copy, scrape, or redistribute our questions, lessons, or materials; use the Service to cheat on or gain unauthorized access to any actual exam; attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service; upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content; or use the Service in violation of any law or of the rules of any testing organization. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Intellectual property

The Service and its content — including questions, lessons, software, text, graphics, and branding — are owned by College Resume or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own exam preparation and personal use. You retain ownership of the content you submit (such as your résumé details), and you grant us the license needed to store and process that content to provide the Service.

7. AI-generated content

Some features use artificial intelligence to generate explanations, walkthroughs, practice questions, and résumé suggestions. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete and should not be relied on as professional, legal, financial, medical, or admissions advice. You are responsible for reviewing any AI-generated content, including anything you submit in a résumé or application.

8. No guarantee of results; disclaimers

Except for the specific money-back guarantee in Section 4, we do not promise any particular exam score, admission, scholarship, or other outcome. Results depend on many factors, including your own effort. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, College Resume and its owners, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, opportunities, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless College Resume from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable law.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
